Position Overview

Mendel.ai is actively seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) with cross-functional expertise to play a pivotal role in spearheading various components of our product portfolio. This crucial position involves bridging gaps between Engineering, AI, Customer Delivery Engineering, Data Labeling Operations, and more. Reporting directly to the Director Of Technical Program Management, the ideal candidate will be technically adept and responsible for driving the seamless rollout of advanced features and systems.

Responsibilities

• Lifecycle Oversight: Manage complex technical programs throughout their lifecycle, aligning them with business goals through detailed technology architecture and system design analysis.
• Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, establishing clear ownership, accountability, and prioritizing tasks for consistent progress and predictability in program execution.
• Communication: Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on program outcomes, strategies, and risk management to foster a culture of clarity and informed decision-making.
• Innovation Champion: Encourage innovation and efficiency by streamlining processes, promoting continuous improvement, and navigating risks with proactive mitigation strategies.
• Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leadership, becoming a trusted advisor for strategic program implementation and risk management.
• Mentorship: Mentor and develop emerging talent in program management, sharing best practices and nurturing their growth within the organization.
• Industry Awareness: Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in program management, refining and enhancing program strategies and execution accordingly.

Basic Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, or technical product/program management experience.
• Experience delivering tech programs or products from inception to delivery.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas to their essence.
• Demonstrated success in guiding projects across multifunctional teams, instituting lasting processes, and aligning release timelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven acumen in formulating and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Background in one or more of: Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Recommendation Systems, or Artificial Intelligence.
